It would appear as though we missed some birthdays! Happy Belated Birthday to Callie (April), Farrah (April), and Olivia (July)!
For Callie’s birthday, I brought a Chick-fil-A meal to her school and ate lunch with her outside on the school patio. Then we all picked her up from school early and went to Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park. It was our first visit to Urban Air, and it was truly spectacular! We jumped on the trampolines, rode the zip line (over and over again), navigated through a ball pit obstacle course, and played on the multi-level indoor playground (slides, swings, climbing nets, etc.). Since we were there during school hours, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was so much fun! Callie is 7 now! She received several gifts, including a a new jigsaw puzzle which she quickly mastered.
Farrah celebrated her 9th birthday at Go Kart Raceway. It was our first time riding outdoor go carts, and we all enjoyed it! My mom joined us and helped me out with the little ones. We rode carts and played video games, then came home for chili dogs. (Earlier in the day we’d enjoyed lunch at Sakekawa, Farrah’s favorite restaurant.)
We celebrated Olivia’s birthday with some Independence Day traditions. First, it was a fun pre-birthday night out at the Pavilion to enjoy the Houston Symphony’s “Star-Spangled Salute,” and the next day we enjoyed the parade in the Market Street area followed by birthday lunch and gifts at home and a later trip to the Waterway area to watch fireworks. We were delighted to unexpectedly meet up with some friends there!
