Jasmine’s First Sack Race

We’re nearing the end of the school year, and there will be many field day opportunities for us. On Monday, we participated in a field day with a homeschool group at Spring Creek Park, and it was exhilirating! We did lots of field games including relay races, hula hooping and obstacle courses. Jasmine had her very first sack race. Let’s be clear about this. I put her in, and she went absolutely nowhere, giving me that questionable look as if to ask “Mommy, why am I in a trash bag?” She was one of the youngest kids. None of the two-year-olds actually jumped around in their sacks, but it was a great picture moment. Other entertainment included playtime on the playground, playtime with bubbles, and a chalk-drawing contest.

There were grilled hotdogs and a potluck picnic with all kinds of grub – fruit, sandwiches, award-winning potato salad, sweets, chips, etc.

The weather was perfect, and the park was beautiful!
