This beautiful waltz by the Austrian composer Johann Strauss II is what’s been jamming in our house this week. What I love about Olivia’s ballet learning is that she has been exposed to so much classical music that sometimes she’d rather listen to classical more than anything else. The Blue Danube is a popular piece of classical music  that everyone has heard, but it wasn’t until we started thinking about the music for her ballet solo (she’ll perform in May of 2015) that we learned the composer’s name and the title of the piece. And this is cool: since she’s doing a solo at next year’s recital, she gets to choose her own music and select her own costume. Here’s her top choice as of today:
